ARCLASP COOKIE POLICY
Last updated: September 4, 2026
Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Ansh Pradhan, operating under the name Arclasp (“Arclasp,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar browser-storage technologies in connection with https://arclasp.com/, the Arclasp web application, and other Services that link to this Policy.
This Cookie Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy:
1. WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies are small data files placed on a browser or device when a website or application is used.
Cookies can perform functions such as:
- maintaining authentication;
- protecting sessions;
- remembering preferences;
- supporting security features;
- enabling technical operation of a service.
Cookies may be set directly by a website or by a third-party service used to operate that website.
2. SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES
Web applications may also use browser-storage technologies other than cookies, including:
- local storage;
- session storage;
- similar browser-based storage.
These technologies may store functional state or preferences on your device.
For purposes of this Policy, we describe cookies and similar browser-storage technologies together where appropriate.
3. COOKIES AND STORAGE ARCLASP USES
Arclasp currently uses cookies and browser storage primarily for authentication, security, and functional operation.
3.1 Authentication and Session Technologies
Our authentication infrastructure uses cookies and related browser storage to:
- identify authenticated users;
- maintain signed-in sessions;
- manage authentication state;
- protect access to authenticated portions of the Services;
- support account and organization functionality.
These technologies are necessary for authenticated portions of Arclasp to operate.
Their exact names and expiration periods may vary as our authentication infrastructure and security configuration are updated.
If these technologies are blocked, you may be unable to sign in or use authenticated features.
3.2 Security Technologies
Infrastructure and security providers may use short-lived cookies or similar mechanisms to:
- detect automated abuse;
- protect against malicious traffic;
- mitigate bots;
- protect infrastructure;
- maintain service security.
These technologies are used for security rather than advertising.
3.3 Functional Local Storage
The Arclasp application may use local browser storage to remember functional preferences, including certain notification-related preferences.
Information in local storage may persist after you close the browser until it is removed by:
- the application;
- the browser;
- you.
3.4 Functional Session Storage
The Arclasp application may use session storage for temporary interface state, such as whether certain in-app prompts have already been displayed during the relevant browser session.
Session-storage information is ordinarily removed when the relevant browser session ends, subject to browser behavior.
4. ADVERTISING AND MARKETING
Arclasp does not currently use:
- advertising cookies;
- behavioral-advertising cookies;
- cross-site advertising pixels;
- advertising profiles;
- cookies used to sell or share personal information for targeted advertising.
We do not permit advertising networks to use Arclasp for cross-context behavioral tracking.
5. ANALYTICS AND TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Arclasp and the infrastructure providers that support the Services may receive technical and aggregate information necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and understand the performance of the Services.
This technical processing does not mean that Arclasp uses advertising or behavioral-targeting cookies.
If we introduce a non-essential analytics technology that requires cookie or device-storage consent under applicable law, we will update our practices and consent mechanism as required.
6. THIRD-PARTY AUTHENTICATION
If you choose a third-party sign-in provider such as Google or GitHub, that provider may use cookies or other technologies in connection with its own authentication pages and services.
Those technologies are governed by the relevant provider's privacy and cookie practices.
Arclasp does not control cookies placed directly on a third-party provider's own website.
7. HOW TO CONTROL COOKIES AND STORAGE
Most browsers allow you to:
- view cookies;
- delete cookies;
- block cookies;
- clear local storage;
- clear session storage;
- control site permissions.
Blocking or deleting strictly necessary authentication or security technologies may prevent authenticated portions of Arclasp from functioning correctly.
Public portions of the website may continue to function without an authenticated session.
Browser-management instructions are available through your browser provider.
8. COOKIE CONSENT
Arclasp currently uses its own cookies and browser storage primarily for strictly necessary authentication, security, and functional purposes.
Because we do not currently use advertising or behavioral-targeting cookies, Arclasp does not currently provide an advertising-cookie preference centre.
If our use of non-essential cookies or comparable technologies changes in a way that requires consent under applicable law, we will implement an appropriate consent mechanism before using those technologies where required.
9. DO-NOT-TRACK AND PRIVACY SIGNALS
Browser “Do Not Track” signals do not have a single universally adopted technical meaning.
Arclasp does not currently use personal information for targeted advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising.
Where applicable law requires us to recognize a legally effective browser-based privacy signal for processing that we undertake, we will comply with that requirement.
10. CHANGES TO THIS COOKIE POLICY
We may update this Cookie Policy when:
- technologies change;
- providers change;
- our use of cookies or storage changes;
- applicable legal requirements change.
The “Last updated” date will identify the latest version.
